Yes. Our hot cocoa mixes and frozen hot cocoa frappe mix are gluten-free and made without wheat, barley, rye, or gluten-containing ingredients.

Our hot cocoa mixes and frozen hot cocoa frappe mix are made without dairy, gluten, soy, corn, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, or refined sugar. They are made without the FDA’s major food allergens. Coconut is an ingredient and is clearly disclosed on our labels.

The FDA has updated its guidance and no longer classifies coconut as a major tree nut allergen for labeling purposes. While coconut is botanically a fruit, some people with tree nut allergies may still choose to avoid it.

Our products contain coconut, which is clearly listed in the ingredient statement. We’re currently in the process of updating our packaging to reflect the FDA’s revised guidance. As always, if you have a severe allergy or specific concerns, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before consuming.

We take allergen management and food safety seriously. Our hot cocoa mixes and frozen hot cocoa frappe mixes are made without dairy, gluten, soy, corn, eggs, peanuts, or tree nuts. Coconut is an ingredient and is clearly listed on our labels.

Each batch is third-party tested to confirm it is gluten-free. Our production facility is SQF-certified, a leading food safety and quality certification with rigorous standards for cleanliness and allergen controls.

Products are produced in controlled production runs, and equipment undergoes thorough cleaning protocols, including allergen swabs between products. While we follow strict procedures to reduce the risk of cross-contact, our products are made in shared facilities though.

Individuals with severe allergies should always review ingredient statements carefully and reach out with questions. You’re also welcome to email us at support@eatbarelife.com to request a full list of allergens present in the facility or on shared equipment.

Product Quality & Preparation

What to expect from real ingredients—and tips for the best possible cup.

Our Frozen Hot Cocoa mix is designed to be blended. Add the mix to a blender with cold water or your favorite dairy-free milk and ice, then blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust the ice and liquid as needed to reach your preferred thickness.

Add the hot cocoa mix to a mug, then pour in hot water or your favorite plant-based milk, and stir or whisk until fully dissolved. For the smoothest, most flavorful mug, we recommend starting with hot (not boiling) liquid.

Tip: If using a packet or pouch, give it a quick shake before opening to break up any natural clumps.

Because we use simple, real ingredients and don’t add anti-clumping agents or stabilizers, our hot cocoa can occasionally clump. Before opening, give the pouch or packet a good shake to break things up. Any small remaining clumps should dissolve once mixed with hot water or warm milk.

We use natural, organic ingredients with no preservatives or artificial flavorings. Because these ingredients are grown, harvested, and processed naturally, you may notice subtle variations in flavor, color, or texture from batch to batch. Factors like weather and growing conditions can affect cacao, coconut sugar, and vanilla—this is a normal part of working with real ingredients.

Those are pieces of real, ground organic vanilla bean. Some larger vanilla shavings may not fully dissolve and can settle at the bottom of your mug. They’re completely normal—and a sign of the real ingredients inside.

In-stock orders typically leave our warehouse within 48 hours. You’ll receive an order confirmation after placing your order, a shipping confirmation once it’s on the way, and a delivery confirmation when it arrives.
